NEET Syllabus 2025
The NEET syllabus saw significant revisions last year, with some topics removed and others added due to varied syllabus changes across school boards during the COVID-19 pandemic. NTA explained that these updates were made to address inconsistencies in syllabus content.
The syllabus for NEET 2025 is expected to follow the same structure as last year, covering key areas in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Detailed subject-wise topics include:
- Physics: Measurements, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy & Power, Thermodynamics, Oscillations, Waves, and more.
- Chemistry: Basic Concepts, Structure of Atom, Chemical Bonding, Thermodynamics, Organic Chemistry, Coordination Compounds, and others.
- Biology: Diversity in Living World, Cell Structure, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology, Genetics, Ecology, and more.
The updated NEET 2025 syllabus PDF will be available on the official NTA website.
NEET 2025 Preparation
Starting NEET 2025 preparation ideally begins two years before the exam, as the syllabus covers both Class 11 and Class 12 material. However, students with a strong foundation in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology can start focused preparation a year in advance, typically after beginning Class 12. Here are some effective strategies for NEET preparation:
- Understand the Exam Pattern: Familiarize yourself with the NEET exam structure and pattern. The format and types of questions in past NEET papers can provide valuable insights into the exam.
- Master the Syllabus: Ensure you are well-acquainted with the NEET syllabus, which is expected to remain consistent with last year. Identify and cover any gaps in your Class 11 and Class 12 knowledge.
- Assess Your Strengths and Weaknesses: Evaluate your strengths and areas needing improvement. Use this analysis to tailor your study plan, focusing on strengthening weak points while maintaining proficiency in strong areas.
- Practice Regularly: Incorporate regular practice into your preparation routine. Engage with NEET mock tests, previous years' question papers, and test series to enhance your test-taking skills and time management.
NEET Answer Key 2025
The provisional answer key for NEET 2025 is expected to be released by NTA approximately one month after the exam, around the fourth week of May 2025. Candidates will have a window of four to five days to raise objections or challenges. NTA's expert panel will then review these objections and finalize the answer keys, which will be used to compute the NEET 2025 results.
Following the exam, leading coaching institutes will publish unofficial answer keys for each question paper set or code. These can help candidates estimate their scores but should be considered preliminary until the official keys are released.
NEET UG Result 2025
The NEET 2025 results are anticipated to be announced by NTA in the second week of June 2025. The results will be available in the form of a merit list and individual scorecards. The official NTA NEET 2025 website allows candidates to access and download their scorecards in PDF format.
In addition to the results, NTA will provide detailed data and statistics, including the total number of applicants, those who appeared for the exam, and the number of candidates who qualified. This comprehensive information will help candidates understand their performance in the context of the overall exam statistics.
NEET 2025 Cutoff
NTA will release the NEET 2025 cutoff alongside the exam results. With a significant number of candidates expected to appear for the test, this year's cutoff is likely to be higher compared to previous years. To give you an idea, here’s a look at last year’s NEET cutoff, which can serve as a benchmark for 2025.

There are two separate counselling processes for medical admissions: one for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and another for the 85% State Quota seats. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) oversees the seat allotment for AIQ seats, while the respective state counselling authorities handle the admission process for State Quota seats.
