Who Can Apply? – Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG 2026

Before filling out the form, students must be aware of the eligibility rules:

Educational Qualification

       Students must have completed or be pursuing Class 12:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology / Biotechnology
  • English

Minimum Marks Required

General Category: 50% in PCB

OBC/SC/ST: 40% in PCB

 PwD candidates: 45% in PCB

Age Limit

Minimum age required is 17 years by 31 December 2026.

No maximum age limit as per the latest rules.

Number of Attempts

There is no limit.

NEET UG 2026 Registration Process

The entire registration happens online on the official NTA website.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Visit the NEET UG portal and click on the new registration link.
  2. Enter personal details, choose a password, and generate an application number.
  3. Fill in academic details, address, exam center preference, and category.
  4. Upload scanned documents:
  • Passport photo
  • Signature
  • Class 10 certificate
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
