NEET UG 2023: Counselling Schedule Released

Good news for NEET UG aspirants..!

The wait for NEET UG Counselling 2023 schedule is over now. Candidates do not have to wait now as the schedule is out now. Some states have begun the online counselling procedure based on NEET scores and other qualifying requirements for medical admissions after the release of NEET UG results. For All India Quota (15% seats) and State Quota (85% seats), the counselling is held separately. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for AIQ NEET counselling whose much-awaited schedule has been released on July 14, 2023.

To get admitted to Indian medical or dental institutes, applicants must participate in NEET counselling 2023 as per the schedule. Eligible candidates must register, fill out their course and college preferences and pay the required fees during the counselling session. The seat will be given based on the choices made by the applicants, NEET ranking, seat availability and reservation.

Based on NEET 2023, NEET counselling would be held for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government institutions and 100% in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing programmes.

NEET UG 2023 Counselling Process

  1. Registration - In order to participate in NEET counselling 2023, eligible applicants must register on the official website, mcc.nic.in. by providing the information needed to create the login credentials such as your name, birthdate and roll number. 
  2. Fee payment of NEET counselling - The fee for general category applicants to attend AIQ or Central University is Rs.1000, while the fee for SC and ST applicants is Rs.500. An amount of Rs. 5000 is to be paid by the candidate to apply for a deemed university.
  3. Choice-filling - Candidates must select courses and colleges depending on their preferences so as to be considered for NEET UG seats. Since choices cannot be changed once they are locked, they should be thoughtfully made. The number of choices to be made is limitless.
  4. Seat allotment - After the previous steps, seat allotment results will be published through which candidates get the information of the allotted institute and branch. They will next need to physically be present at the designated college to finish the admissions process.

Documents required for NEET UG 2023 Counselling

Candidates should keep the following documents ready with them:

  • NEET exam admit card
  • NEET scorecard
  • High School certificate and mark sheet
  • Intermediate certificate and mark sheet
  • Identity proof (Aadhar/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)
  • Eight passport-sized photographs
  • Provisional Allotment Letter
  • Caste Certificate (if required)
  • PwD Certificate (if required)
