NEET PG 2023 Counselling Process

Only eligible candidates can participate in NEET PG 2023 counselling process. Candidates scoring less than 50 percentile in the General/EWS category, 40 percentile in SC/ST/OBC category and 45 percentile in General PwD candidates are not considered for admission to any course. The counselling process begins with online registration and finishes with depositing all the documents.

The major steps included in NEET PG Counselling are mentioned below:

  • Registration: For the registration process, candidates have to visit the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee(MCC). New registrations are done before each round (in case of new candidates). Candidates who have registered themselves in the first round do not have to register again and again. During the registration process, candidates have to submit genuine information that will be required in this step.
  • Choice filling and locking: Choice filling plays the most crucial role in Medical admission. A huge list of institutes and courses is provided by MCC where you can select the institutes with courses and can keep them on a priority basis. There is no limit on the number of institutes while doing choice filling. The preference order must be kept in sequence precisely by avoiding any error. The preference order of institutes is highly responsible for getting a seat in the desired institute with the course. Going through the filled choices thoroughly is mandatory before the final submission. The choices get locked in the portal so one should be very careful while doing this step as there is no chance of changing the filled choices later. Choices can be locked by candidates on the portal else the choices get locked automatically on the portal.
  • Seat Allotment Result: The seat allotment result is declared after the above two steps. A seat allocation table is released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) that contains the candidate’s details along with the allotted institute and course. The seats will be allocated to candidates according to the options filled, ranking and seat availability.
