NEET PG results have been announced, and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is preparing to publish the counselling schedule for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Postgraduate Studies (NEET PG). MCC will release the NEET PG counselling dates once they are released, so candidates can begin registering for round 1 on mcc.nic.in. During this period, candidates can register on the official site, select their preferred choices, pay the registration fees, report to the assigned institute, and complete their admission process. Attempts to begin NEET PG 2024 counselling are expected to begin in the second week of September 2024, although this date is subject to change.
All India Quota counselling will involve four rounds, including rounds 1, 2, the mop-up round, and the stray vacancy round, for NEET PG qualified candidates.

Steps to Register for MCC Round 1 of NEET PG Counselling
- Go to the official Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website at mcc.nic.in.
- Navigate to the ‘PG Medical’ section.
- Provide the necessary credentials to complete your registration.
- Fill out the application form, attach the required documents, and submit it for processing.
The MCC of DGHS will oversee the counselling process for 100% of All India open DNB seats. Furthermore, the MCC will conduct counselling for 100% of the seats in Deemed and Central Universities, as well as 50% of the seats available under the All-India Quota.
NEET-PG 2024 will serve as the sole eligibility and entrance examination for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses for the 2024-25 academic session, covering the following areas:
- 50% All India Quota seats across all States and Union Territories.
- State Quota seats available in every State and Union Territory.
- Seats in Private Medical Colleges, Institutions, and Deemed/Private Universities nationwide.
- The number of seats in the Armed Forces Medical Services institutions.
- Post-MBBS DNB Courses, 6-Year Direct DrNB Courses, and Post-MBBS NBEMS Diploma Courses.
